Within the political-media bubble, the overarching themes have been the same familiar ones for years: corruption, truth, ethics, justice, changing the political class, the distribution of state aid, etc. Realistic analysis, lucid debate, necessary solutions, or the use of professional tools are far less visible. However, there are individuals, organizations, and active nuclei involved in local development that are making their mark. In fact, people are looking for opportunities, adapting, and hoping.
The Amfiteatru Foundation launches “Amfiteatru Meetings,” a series of online conferences dedicated to local development.
The purpose of our initiative is to harness community resources through a multidisciplinary and interactive program designed to activate human and social capital, and to develop best practices for capitalizing on local tangible and intangible production.
Amfiteatru meetings #1 – from strategy to resources
We opened the Amfiteatru Meetings series by talking about the community, bridging the gap from formal strategies to concrete needs. We discussed how to carry forward the projects and programs started alongside the Foundation’s partners, how to prepare for the next EU funding exercise, while also paying attention to alternative resources—specifically those that can stem from the market of products and services we generate.

The core question we begin with is how entrepreneurship and education will adapt to these changes. We briefly analyze the local impact that various entrepreneurship promotion programs and educational quality improvement programs have had.
