Founded in 2000 with the mission of empowering the identities, people and communities of Romania, Amfiteatru Foundation has developed a working model that connects fields often treated separately: education, culture, health, responsible tourism, heritage, professional training and community development. For us, development is a lasting construction that begins with people, continues through cooperation, and gains meaning through the value we draw from local resources.
The Foundation’s activity is organized around mutually reinforcing programs: human infrastructure, productive hospitality, integrated health, living culture and Essential Romania. Together, these form a coherent institutional architecture, in which people, resources, identity and cooperation become drivers of development.
Amfiteatru Foundation operates as an ecosystem made up of platforms, networks, clusters, partnerships and analytical capacities that support one another. The platforms remain active between projects, the partner network strengthens over time, and the knowledge produced feeds into new initiatives.
