We have published our 2022 Activity Report, offering a detailed insight into the Amfiteatru Foundation’s programs. The year 2022 was all about communication: ranging from internal communication to dialogue with field specialists, our partner communities, and other experienced professionals in the field.
We continued to update and improve our working processes to strengthen the Foundation’s programs, while also supporting other partner organizations to help them grow or navigate difficult contexts. We made the conscious decision to stay as close as possible to the communities we work with, for as long as needed.
“Essential Romania” (România Esențială), our local development program, featured integrated interventions spanning education, employment, social and socio-medical services, and advocacy. We succeeded in creating education and vocational training opportunities, boosting the entrepreneurial environment, building skills and competencies for labor market integration, and providing legal assistance, psychological counseling, and medical care to communities in Ferentari, Belin, Jilava, Sibiu, Covasna, Constanța, and Călărași.
CALEIDO continues its series of events dedicated to performing arts and celebrates diversity in all its forms. The Caleido season created a platform for young, emerging actors to showcase their talent while bringing established artists closer to the audience. Caleido Days brought together a large number of people from Ferentari and other Bucharest neighborhoods. We aimed to foster social cohesion in Ferentari by instilling a sense of pride, showcasing success stories, sharing information about the community’s culture, history, and values, and building a social bridge between the local residents and the rest of the city.
Through “Health Romania” (Sănătate România), a program designed to rebuild trust in medical services, we organized regional conferences in Târgu Mureș, Iași, Craiova, Constanța, Timișoara, and Bucharest, featuring specialists from public and private hospitals and medical centers across the country.
The Tourism Observatory, the newest product launched under the Productive Hospitality and Responsible Tourism program, provides a valuable tool for public decision-makers, hospitality industry professionals, and related sectors. We continue our close partnership with Cluster Montagne to promote sustainable tourism development in Vama Buzăului, Rânca, and Polovragi.
We wrapped up the year with gratitude and pride for the projects completed in collaboration with community members, partners, and funders.
