Today we are launching a new project by the Amfiteatru Foundation – the ObservatorTuristic.ro platform. Its first editorial endeavor is the Monthly Report – a document that presents the most important theoretical and practical topics related to hospitality. The document is public and can be easily accessed and downloaded from the website. We utilize materials from Romanian and international public sources, statistics, studies, analyses, and our own research.
The Tourism Observatory is a tool that provides interested parties with market information that helps in decision-making within the public sector, as well as in identifying development opportunities for companies and professionals in the hospitality industry and related fields.
The content of the newsletters will be selected and treated from the perspective of the programs that the Amfiteatru Foundation has cultivated in recent years – responsible tourism and productive hospitality, as vectors of community development. The information is structured and easily accessible, so that the report becomes a useful, reliable, and up-to-date source.
This first issue brings to the readers’ attention destinations that did not exist on the country’s tourist map 20 years ago, which areas are strongly boosted and who the new-wave tourists are, professional initiatives for positioning Romanian tourism on the sustainable development axis, as well as controversial measures meant to control the flow of visitors. One chapter is reserved for statistics on the influence of the pandemic regarding consumer behavior and preferences in recent years.
The Amfiteatru Foundation carries out responsible tourism and productive hospitality projects and produces reports, analyses, and studies with key indicators that help understand trends. Together with our partners, we conduct qualitative research on the behaviors of the main segments and markets.
