Between 2022 and 2024, Jilava Town Hall in partnership with the Amfiteatru Foundation implemented a program focused on 4 priorities:
- Working with professionals from public institutions responsible for local development, poverty reduction, and Roma inclusion;
- Working with students and teaching staff to lower the risk of school dropout and increase pass rates and academic performance;
- Working in the community for professional development and health improvement;
- Community organizing.
The key word across all these directions is learning, with activities focusing on the idea of empowerment through the acquisition of knowledge and skills designed to support the program’s goal: the development of the local community by pursuing the objective of Roma inclusion, with increased attention given to women and youth.
